AutoPay from Standard Bank

You no longer need a credit card to shop online because you can now pay for your online purchases from any Standard Bank current, savings, transmission or credit card account linked to these cards:

  • AutoBank
  • PlusPlan
  • E Plan
  • (sum)1
  • Standard Bank MasterCard
  • Business AutoBank

    AutoPay subscription is free if you're registered for Internet banking. If you're on AutoClub, remember that you don't pay Internet banking subscription fees.

    The shop gets quick confirmation from us that you've paid so they can deliver your goods sooner.

Getting started

Follow this quick guide and you'll soon be using AutoPay.

Security

There are terms and conditions for using AutoPay. You must familiarise yourself with and accept them before submitting your card number and password via the AutoPay merchant's web site.

Where you can shop

Here are the shops already accepting AutoPay. Are there online stores you shop from on a regular basis that you want us to AutoPay enable? If so, email us at autopay@standardbank.co.za and one of our consultants will contact the store to make the necessary arrangements.

If you are an e-merchant, this is how you can benefit from signing up.

7 easy steps to buying online...

Step 1: Getting started

  • Make sure you have registered the card you want to use for online shopping with Internet banking (see Getting started)
  • Ensure that you have registered for OTP(One Time Password) through Internet Banking.
  • This is an added security feature we have put in place to ensure the security of your payments.
Step 2: Select your items and start payment
  • Visit your preferred AutoPay-enabled online shop
  • Choose the items you want to buy
  • Proceed to the checkout and complete whatever details are required by the merchant for delivery
  • From a list of possible payment options on the shopping site, select 'Standard Bank AutoPay`
  • You may get a message that the page you are trying to access includes secure and non-secure items, and be asked if you want to view the page. Select "Yes"
  • Select the "AutoPay" button for payment.

Step 3: Fill in your name and password


Step 4 : Enter the OTP(One time Password) received by either e-mail or sms.
*Please note that you are required to registered for the OTP functionality in Internet Banking.


*In the case where you are not registered for OTP. The following screen will be displayed.


*After 6 attempts of entering your OTP incorrectly you will be sent a new OTP. The below message will be displayed should this occur.


Step 5 : Confirm Account.
Confirm which account you want to use (you may have a number of accounts linked to your Standard Bank ATM card) and select.


Step 6 : Submit Payment.
Check that your details are correct and click "Confirm"


*Note: for your protection you are unable to submit payments for the same amount to the same shop on the same day.

Step 7 :Payment Result
You should receive a successful payment message.


*Note:
  • The CDI reference refers to a shop registered with Standard Bank.
  • Beneficiary reference refers to information appearing on your statements
