Standard Bank voted tops by international finance magazine
Standard Bank has been voted the Best Bank in South Africa by the New York-based monthly magazine Global Finance.
Standard Bank is one of 12 banks selected as the top banks in the Middle East and Africa.
This is the eighth year the magazine has selected top banking performers in emerging markets. The Best Emerging Markets Banks survey appears in the May 2001 issue of Global Finance.
Global Finance has 50 000 subscribers and more than 300 000 readers in over 160 countries. The Best Bank awards ceremony takes place in Washington on October 1, at the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund.
