Standard Bank rated tops by Risk magazine
Standard Bank has been ranked first in six categories of the prestigious Risk magazine's 11th annual Global Derivatives Rankings survey. This is the sixth consecutive year that the bank has been highly ranked.
A total of 462 derivatives professional responded to the survey, which used online polling for the first time to make it easier for dealers and brokers to vote.
Respondents were asked to nominate their top three banks in each category, as well as their preferred broker. Voters were asked to base their choices on certain criteria, which included ability to provide tight prices and access to liquidity, market-making reliability and ability
to innovate and provide efficient and speedy transactions. Dealers were not allowed to vote for themselves.
Standard Bank was ranked first in the following categories:
- Short-dated swaps (SA rand)
- Interest rate swaps 2-10 years (SA rand)
- Interest rate swaps 10+ years (SA rand)
- Forward rate agreements (SA rand)
- Cross currency swaps (US$/SA rand)
- Currency forwards (US$/SA rand)
