About the programme
In 2006 Standard Bank Group internal audit initiated a trainee programme geared towards staff members and other candidates holding a three-year qualification (B.Com or National Diploma) with internal auditing as a major (third year subjects). Prospective trainees with two or three years working experience will receive preference when applying to the programme.
Trainees will be required to complete training modules through the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and work towards achieving the designation of Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) to produce competent and qualified Internal Auditors who will add value to the organisation in the future.
This unique and intensive five year programme offers the selected trainees an opportunity to develop and:
- Gain practical experience in the different areas/portfolio's and aspects of internal auditing within Standard Bank Group and
- Gain international experience through rotations in operations throughout Africa and in London towards the end of the programme
- Achieve the designation of Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
