We are committed to improving
people management within the bank. In 2004,
we implemented
the SAP self-service technology in order to provide
our managers with easier access to a range of
information and reports on their staff. In 2005,
we will focus on our managers’ people management
skills. Feedback from various employee surveys
have shown a need to improve the way we manage
people.
In addition to the leadership 360-degree evaluation,
we will introduce a multi-rater measurement process.
Subordinates and superiors domestically will rate
managers on a range of people management practices.
The process will be broadened to include our African
and International operations. It will be incorporated
into the performance management system and results
will be used to identify development needs and
determine overall performance.
