TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE PHOTO OF THE TOURNAMENT COMPETITION CONDUCTED BY THE STANDARD BANK OF SOUTH AFRICA LIMITED (“THE PROMOTER”)

 

1 HOW TO PLAY

1 This competition commences on Sunday 10 January 2010 and ends at midnight Sunday 31 January 2010.

To qualify as an entrant into this competition you must:

1.1 Be a permanent resident of a country located in the African Continent;

1.2 Be over the age of 18 (eighteen) years old;

1.3 Be an accredited photographer at the Orange Africa Cup of Nations Angola 2010 (“the Tournament”);

1.4 Submit your online entry via email to the Promoter at the following address

standardbank.photos@cafonline.com

1.5 include the following in your online entry:

    1.5.1 A maximum of 4 (four) photographs taken at the Tournament which captures the passion and

    celebration of the Tournament; and

    1.5.2 Your information which includes your name, surname, accreditation number, nationality, contact details,

    email address and the agency/publication that you are affiliated to.

 

2 PRIZES

2.1 1 (one) entrant stands a chance to win a grand prize consisting of:

    2.1.1 US$ 10 000.00 (ten thousand US dollars) to be credited into his/her bank account;

    2.1.2 a 1 (one) day visit to the 2010 Multi-Media Football Exhibition day at the Standard Bank Gallery

    situated at number 6 Simmonds Street Johannesburg at which the winning photograph will be

    exhibited; (“the Exhibition”);

    2.1.3 Cost to obtain a visa issued by his/her country’s consulate (subject to the consulate’s terms and

    conditions), which specifically includes the costs for making application, making the appointment to

    attend the consulate and the courier fee for the consulate to return the issued visas, if applicable.

    2.1.4 return economy flights for him/her and a partner departing from his/her country of residence’s main

    airport to Johannesburg on 30 May 2010 and returning to his/her country of residence’s main airport

    on 1 June 2010;

    2.1.5 a meet and greet service at Johannesburg with a chauffeur driven transfer to a 3 (three) star hotel in

    Johannesburg;

    2.1.6 2 (two) nights’ accommodation in a double standard room for 2 (two) adults sharing with meals

    included; and

    2.1.7 chauffeur driven transfer from the hotel to the Exhibition and back to the Hotel.

2.2 Please note that the prize excludes the following:

    2.2.1 travelling cost to and from the closest consulate to the prize winner and his/her partner’s residence;

    2.2.2 travelling cost to and from your residence to your country of residence’s main airport;

    2.2.3 travel insurance covering personal accident, medical expenses, emergency repatriation, baggage loss

    and loss of funds; and

    2.2.4 beverages throughout the stay at the hotel, alternative flights not specified gratuities, telephone calls

    and laundry.

2.3 The prize winner is to obtain travel insurance independently, at his/her own cost.

2.4 All entrants in this competition must hold valid passport and visa issued by the consulate in order to take up the prize, if selected as the prize winners.
