Reduce your credit and performance risk

Bank guarantees are submitted to prove you are able to honour payment commitments. A Guarantee therefore supports commercial contracts by providing your trading partners with the flexibility to reduce credit and performance risk in the form of a supplementary agreement, collateral or security relating to a specific transaction.

A Guarantee may suit your business if:

  • You need to prove that you are in a position to honour your commitments
  • You are required to submit a performance guarantee to suppliers or during a tendering process

Features and benefits

  • Performance guarantees can only be issued for a period of 5 years, after which the guarantee will be reviewed

  • To apply for a Guarantee, send us a completed 06321 form, which you can find on the CMS
  • Our Credit Division will review your application. Once approved, we’ll issue you the guarantee
