What is MobileMoney?
MobileMoney is a secure easy to use mobile payment service developed by Stanbic IBTC, for customers who wish to open a basic account and manage it from their mobile phone.
MobileMoney provides you with simple financial services, like saving through an electronic wallet, transferring funds, paying your bills, buying airtime and paying for goods, services etc.
This account is available to both Stanbic IBTC Bank existing customers and non-customers who want the flexibility of banking with their mobile phone.
What is MobileMoney?

How to deposit funds into your My Wallet account
You can deposit money into your MobileMoney account free of charge the following ways:
At a MobileMoney agent
- Give the MobileMoney agent your mobile number and the amount you wish to deposit
- The agent will credit your account with the total amount and give you a transaction receipt
- You will also receive a transaction notification SMS
Note: deposits with MobileMoney agent should not exceed N30,000
At any Stanbic IBTC branch
- Give the branch teller with your MobileMoney mobile number and the amount you wish to deposit (Important note: deposits into MobileMoney accounts at a branch must not exceed N30,000. For higher amounts, you will be required to complete an application form and provide the required documents to upgrade your account
- The agent will credit your account with total amount and give you a transaction receipt
- You will also receive a transaction notification SMS

Withdrawing money
You can withdraw money into your MobileMoney account via the following ways:
Withdrawal from a Stanbic branch or MobileMoney agent
- Locate a MobileMoney agent or Stanbic branch
- Put in the agent or branch account number
- Put in the amount you would like to withdrawal and confirm the transaction with your PIN
- Your account will be debited for the amount selected and the transaction charge
- An agent or branch will receive a notification of the credit amount and in turn give you your cash
- You will also receive a transaction notification SMS
Withdrawal from an ATM using your My Wallet
- From your My Wallet using USSD or WAP. Go to ‘withdraw’ and select ‘ATM (cardless)’
- Put in the recipient’s phone number
- Put in the required amount and confirm the transaction by entering your wallet PIN
- You will receive a voucher ID and PIN via SMS in two separate SMS’s
- Go to a Stanbic IBTC ATM and press the enter button to activate the MobileMoney account service on the ATM
- Follow the instructions and enter the voucher ID and PIN
- The voucher is validated and your cash is dispensed

Increasing your transaction limit.
All accounts initially opened have a transaction limit of N3,000 per transaction and a daily limit of N30,000.
To extend your limit you will need to follow these steps:
- N10,000 per transaction and N100,000 per day limit
For a limit of N10,000 per transaction and a daily limit of N100,000 per day, you will need to go into any Stanbic IBTC branch with the following:
- Your passport
- A national photo ID
- Utility bill
With this extension you can also get:
- A Stanbic saving account and received a personalized Verve MasterCard debit card
- A Contract Save Account
- Micro finance facilities
To increase your limit to N100,000 per transaction and N1,000,000 per day limit:
For a limit of a N100,000 per transaction and a daily limit of N1,000,000 a day, you will need to go into any Stanbic IBTC branch with the following:
- 1 Passport photograph
- A national photo ID
- Utility bill
- 2 References
With this extension you can also get:
- Obtain a Stanbic Current account and receive a personalized Verve MasterCard debit card
- loan facilities*
Other payment services
- Get a pre-paid debit card
- Go to a Stanbic IBTC branch to request for a MobileMoney card
- Complete a request form, provide a photo ID and return it to the branch
- You will be given a MobileMoney card and PIN
- Change PIN on Stanbic IBTC ATM to activate the card
- You can start making ATM cash withdrawals, Point of sales purchases from your My Wallet account
- Buy airtime
- You can buy airtime for yourself and others
- Using your My Wallet, select ‘Quickteller’ followed by ‘buy airtime’
- To top-up airtime for your phone, choose ‘for self’
- To top-up airtime for someone else, choose ‘for others’
- Put in the recipient’s number, the amount and authorize the transaction using your wallet PIN
- Make bill payments
- You can make payments to different billers on Quickteller
- Using your My Wallet, select ‘Quickteller’ followed by ‘bill payments’
- Choose the biller you wish to pay
- Put in the biller reference details and product bouquet
- Put in the amount and authorize with your wallet PIN
My Wallet management services
- Change your PIN
You can change your Wallet PIN at anytime.
- Using your My Wallet, select ‘my services’, then ‘PIN change’, ‘input old PIN’, ‘input new PIN’ followed by confirm ‘new PIN’
- Sending your account information
This provides you with the function to send your My Wallet account details to someone that wants to transfer funds to you. An SMS will be sent to the recipient with your name and account number (mobile no)
- Using your My Wallet, select ‘my services’, ‘mini statement’, ‘input recipient number’, followed by ‘input PIN’.
- Receive mini statement
With a mini statement, you can review the last 5 transaction in your My Wallet account
- Using your My Wallet, ‘my services, ‘mini statement’ followed by ‘input PIN’
