Receive MyUpdates notifications in the App
Enable your device to receive MyUpdates messages in your InboxTo begin, your device must be enabled to receive notifications from Standard Bank.
Let’s open the Settings on your mobile device.
Go to your Apps (applications) and scroll down to the Standard Bank App.
Then select Standard/Stanbic Bank to open the app’s settings.
Next, select Notifications.
Finally, toggle on (turn on) the Allow notifications option.
All done! You can now receive notifications from Standard Bank on your Banking App!
To view your notifications in the App, select the Message Centre icon (in the top right-hand corner) on your home screen.
On the Message Centre screen, select Transactions from your list of Inbox messages.
Note:
You must be registered for MyUpdates to receive these transactional notifications.
Now you will see the transactional notifications of the activity on your bank accounts.
Note:
When you register for MyUpdates, you choose which notifications you want to receive such as debit orders, withdrawals and/or Point-of-Sale (POS) payments etc.
If you want to opt out of receiving your MyUpdates notifications in your Inbox messages, select the more menu option (in the top right-hand corner).
Then select the Settings option.
Simply toggle off (turn off) the MyUpdates option to switch back to your previous method of receiving your MyUpdates notifications via SMS or email.
When you’re ready, use the back arrow buttons in the header (top left-hand corner) to return to the home screen.
