Help us put school shoes on a child’s feet this year
Did you know that over 7 million South African children had no school shoes?
As of 2021, 10.1 million school children walked to school with some walking long distances due to lack of transport affordability. This back-to-school season, we invite you to join us in our efforts to assist children from disadvantaged backgrounds with school shoes.
We started off our mission by handing over pairs of school shoes to the children at Khutliso Daniels Secondary School in Makhanda, Eastern Cape, this January. Following that, we will be embarking on a drive to collect donations towards school shoes in partnership with South African shoe manufacturer, Toughees. Through this collaboration we aim to raise as much awareness and donations as we can by taking the public through a journey of what it feels like to walk a long distance barefoot.
