Standard Bank launches new Daily Lotto feature on their mobile app

Standard Bank has launched Daily Lotto as a feature on its mobile app and online banking platforms. The new feature will allow Standard Bank customers to play the daily lotto game every day, from the convenience of their mobile app or online banking platform.

“Standard Bank is continually striving to improve our digital services with solutions geared towards making the lives of our customers easier and safer, by providing more than just traditional banking services. Our long-standing relationship with the Ithuba National Lottery has enabled us to be a leader in this space and we are proud to be the first bank to go live with this feature,” says Tshiamo Molanda, Head of Everyday Banking for Main Markets at Standard Bank.

From a digital offering perspective, this is a key milestone as the launch coincides with the recent upgrades which included the stop payments functionality and credit card straight through application which allows customers to apply for a credit card via the Standard Bank mobile app.

“For the first time since DAILY LOTTO was launched in March 2019, players are now able to play this game using the Standard Bank APP, we are excited to be celebrating this milestone with Standard Bank. DAILY LOTTO has been well received by the market and has become one of South Africa’s most loved Lottery games,” says Busisiwe Msizi Head of Corporate Relations at ITHUBA.

“Since its launch, DAILY LOTTO has paid out R513 336 371, 13 in winnings to 44 777 435 winners, as of 19 August 2020. We are thrilled to deliver this highly demanded game at the palm of the hands of Standard Bank APP users, affording them an opportunity to play for their chance to win anytime, anywhere, every day. Standard Bank’s latest upgrade seeks to do this in a way that enables a seamless remote banking experience. Msizi adds that “last month, the biggest PowerBall PLUS jackpot of R153 Million was won by a Standard Bank client in KwaZulu-Natal who played using the Standard Bank’s app and we look forward to creating more millionaires and changing the lives of our players for the better.”
