Switch your bank account in 6 steps
Open an account with us and start managing your money and payments anywhere, anytime on any device.
1. Find the right account for you
Compare the features and benefits of our bank accounts to find the one best suited to your needs and lifestyle.
2. Apply online
To open the account you want, apply online from any bank account page.
3. Activate your account
Come in to see us at your nearest branch to activate your account and collect your card.
- You’ll need to bring your ID and proof of residence (not older than three months)
- Your card will be active as soon as you receive it
- You can get your PIN in-branch, or get it by calling 0860 123 000 if your card was delivered
4. Link your card
You can register your online banking profile before your account’s been activated.
You can link your card when you collect it from us, or link it via online banking.
5. Switch and cancel
You can do it yourself, or give us permission to switch all your debit orders and stop orders to your new account.
Once you’ve transferred your funds into your new account with us, you can cancel your old bank account.
