Payment fees
Inter-account transfers and internal debit orders are R5.30.
Electronic account payments are R4.74 + 0.74% based on the transaction as a % of the value. The total maximum fee is R18.64.
External debit orders are R19.50.
Debit card (Maestro) and cheque card purchases are R6.20.
To establish, amend or cancel a stop order, it will cost R20 in branch but is free on ATM and Internet Banking.
Cheque service fee is R140 per month.
International currency conversion is 2.75% based on the transaction as a % if the value.
Information fees
Balance enquiry with no slip is free on ATM and Internet Banking. With slip, the fee is R1.60 on ATM and R10 in branch. Balance enquiry at other bank’s ATM is R9.
Provincial statements cost R7.50 at ATMs and R30 per statement in branch. Internet statements are free when viewed or downloaded online.
Transaction history
Requesting transaction history for 60 days on Internet Banking is free and in branch is R65.
Requesting transaction history for 90 days on Internet Banking is free and in branch is R95.
Requesting transaction history for 120 days at a branch is R130.
Requesting transaction history for 150 days at a branch is R160.
Requesting transaction history for 180 days at a branch is R190.
Payment confirmation fees
SMSs cost R1.35.
Email notifications cost R1.10 on Internet Banking and R1 on Business Online Domestic Banking.
Fax will cost R20 on Internet Banking and R4 on Business Online Domestic Banking.
Other fees
Monthly fee for Internet Banking is free and for Business Online Domestic Banking is R365.
Special clearance costs R160.
Debit card replacement (Chip) is R150.
Access to cheque funds is R130 + 0.10% based on the transaction as a % of the value.
Penalty fees
Deposit correction fee is R90.
There is no fee for an ATM cash decline at a Standard Bank ATM.
ATM cash decline fee at other bank’s ATMs is R9.
Honouring fee is R145 per transaction.
Dishonour or unpaid fee is R120 for first three and R150 thereafter per calendar year.
