Transaction history and settlements

Get important vehicle and finance information for your car, include NaTIS and statement letters.

Transaction history:

  • These can be viewed via the Banking App and Online Banking. You can call 0860 123 000 for statements
  • View up to 90 days of payment history, fees, and interest adjustments on the Banking App and Online Banking


Settlements:

  • These can be requested via the Banking App or Online Banking
  • You’ll receive it via email
  • Alternatively, e-mail us on [email protected] or call 0860 123 000.
     

Insurance settlement claims:

  • Stolen or written-off vehicles are handled differently to normal settlements.


Note: If your vehicle has been stolen or written off, lodge a claim with your insurer. The following steps apply:


  1. Lodge the claim with your Insurer
  2. Your insurer will notify the bank of your claim, and handle the settlement request
  3. The bank issues the settlement to your insurer that is valid for 45 days
  4. Once the payment is received from the insurer, the bank proceeds to finalise the account**

**If there’s a shortfall on the account, the bank will be in touch.

 

NaTIS (vehicle registration documents)

Get an original copy of NaTIS documents and help with change of ownership or lost documents. 

For change of ownership (after your deal is paid up): 
Send the below documents to [email protected]  

  • License disc (must be valid and not expired) 
  • Copy of ID 
  • Proof of residence not older than 3 months 
  • Payment of R385 to be made
    Account name: VAF Access Finance  
    Account number: 401597008  
    Branch IBT no.: 5053  
    Reference number: License plate number  


For lost documents 
Get a report 164 from the Licensing Department and forward it to [email protected]. We’ll respond with next steps. 

How to log the request: 


For original copy of NaTIS:


Paid-up letters:

  • This must be requested with NaTIS. Call 0860123000 or email [email protected]  

  • Arrange for documents to be collected at our office (33 Baker, Rosebank, 2196), or make arrangements for delivery (you’ll need to provide a delivery address, contact person’s details, and contact numbers). 

Note: Documents can only be sent to the email address on file. If the deal is less than 30 days old, you may need to contact the dealer for a copy. 

Balloon payment or residual value

How to request documents: 

Cross-border travel

Get a letter for your next cross-border road trip.  
You will need to request the CBL every time you need to take your vehicle outside of South Africa.
 
Simply provide us with your ID and valid insurance letter of no older than 7 days, indicating your travel dates and destination, and vehicle details. 
 
If additional drivers join, we’ll also require a copy of their ID and drivers’ licenses.

Payments
I want to pay additional funds into my VAF account. What are my options?

Additional funds can be used to reduce your monthly instalments, your payment term, or your balloon payment.

You can call 0860 000 000 or email [email protected] once the funds have been paid for further account restructure assistance.

Can I opt to make manual payments and cancel my debit order?

No, debit order payments are a mandatory payment method.

How do I change my debit order date or banking details?

Call 0860 000 000 or email [email protected].

You’ll need to provide a copy of your bank account confirmation containing your new banking details.

Settlements
I’ve requested my settlement quote, what happens next?

Your settlement letter will be sent via email, containing the settlement fee and banking details where the settlement fee can be paid.

How do I receive a paid-up letter?

Your VAF account needs to be settled in full. You can then call or email us and request a paid-up letter, which may be provided immediately depending on the account status prior to closure.

Please note that accounts with Legal, Insurance, Deceased or any other statuses must refer to these respective departments for this letter.

Supporting documents
How can I receive my statement on my VAF account?

You can opt to receive monthly statements by setting up your statement preference by calling 0860 000 000 or sending an email to [email protected].

Alternatively, you can sign into your Banking App to link your VAF account to your dashboard.

How can I receive an amortisation schedule?

Call 0860 000 000 or email [email protected] to request an amort document.

Please note the document can only be sent to an email address on file and can take up to 48 hours.

NaTIS
I have lost/misplaced my original NaTIS, can I get a duplicate copy?

Duplicate NatIS documents may be issued if change of ownership has not been done at the Traffic Department.

Please take note of the below fees applicable, as per the current pricing guide:

Duplicate NaTIS: R700
Delivery fee: R180

Can change of ownership be done upon requesting the original NaTIS documents?

Yes, owner registration can be done if requested at a fee of R380.
