Add a Trusted Person to your profile
Choose someone you trust to spot suspicious transactions.
Step 1 of 14
Go to your home screen and tap More on the bottom navigation.

Tap your name to access your profile.
Step 3 of 14
On the Profile screen, tap the Trusted Person menu option.
Step 4 of 14
You’ll be prompted to add someone you trust to your profile.
Tap ADD TRUSTED PERSON.
Step 5 of 14
Complete the details of your Trusted Person:
- Full name
- ID number
- Cellphone number; and
- Email address
Step 6 of 14
Tap Add.
Step 7 of 14
Your request has been sent to your Trusted Person.
Tap on the back arrows (at the top) to return to your home screen.

Your Trusted Person will receive a push notification, which they must tap on.

Your Trusted Person must sign into their Standard Bank App to review your request.

On the home screen, your Trusted Person must tap on the Messages icon (in the top right-hand corner).

On the Message Centre inbox screen, your Trusted Person must tap on the Trusted Person Request message.
Step 12 of 14
Your Trusted Person must review the request and tap ACCEPT or DECLINE.
Step 13 of 14
If your Trusted Person accepts your request, they’ll receive a confirmation message stating that they are now your Trusted Person.
Step 14 of 14
Once your Trusted Person has accepted your request, your extra layer of security will be in place.
Note:
Back on the Trusted Person screen, you can remove your Trusted Person if you no longer need their assistance.
