How much money will I get in my Shyft wallet?
You’ll receive the value of your monthly bank account fee. For example, the Prestige Account is R260 per month (2026 pricing), which means your Shyft wallet will be credited with R260 per month.
How long does the Shyft benefit last?
You must open a Prestige Account between 26 May 2026 and 30 November 2026. However, the benefit lasts up to 12 months, as long as you meet the monthly requirements.
How can I use my Shyft reward?

Your Shyft wallet funds can be used to:

  • Invest in global shares and ETFs
  • Invest in JSE-listed shares
  • Convert and hold foreign currencies
Are there any additional benefits or fee discounts?
Yes. You get a R20 brokerage fee waiver on local trades each qualifying month.

Note: Other Shyft transaction fees still apply.
What happens if I don’t meet the requirements?
You will lose that month’s reward. You can still qualify again in future months (within 12 months of account opening).
Do I need to use Shyft to trade or invest to qualify?
No. You don’t need to trade or invest to receive the benefit.
Who can open a Shyft account?
You can sign up for Shyft if you are:
  • A South African resident
  • A foreign national living in South Africa
  • A Botswana resident
  • 18 years or older

How do I switch my salary to my Prestige Banking Account?

Once your account is active, you can download or email your Bank Account Confirmation Letter and share it with your employer to request an update to your salary payment details.

How do I load or switch my debit orders?

Moving your debit orders to your Prestige Banking Account is simple and fully supported by our team.

Once you have submitted your form, here’s what you can expect:

  • If we don’t have an existing arrangement with a service provider whose debit order you’d like to move, one of our specialists will arrange a conference call with you and the service provider, and guide the process to move your debit order to your new account. 
  • The process typically takes up to 30 days to complete, depending on the service providers involved and availability of information.
