The Western Cape SME Finance Masterclass is a transformative learning experience designed to empower small and medium enterprises with the financial knowledge, tools, and confidence to grow sustainably. Hosted by Standard Bank, in collaboration with SMTax, this masterclass unpacks key topics such as access to finance, financial planning, and strategic growth.
The masterclass will take place on Wednesday 26 November 2025 from 9.00 to 14:00 in Cape Town. Attendance is free.
Qualifying criteria to attend the seminar:
- Your business must be formally registered with CIPC or a relevant authority (sole proprietors will also be considered)
- Your business must be based in or actively operating within the Western Cape, and you’ll need to make your own arrangements to attend the masterclass
- Preference will be given to businesses whose sectors are aligned with the provincial development goals (agriculture and agri-processing, tourism and film, green economy, technology and ICT, manufacturing and finance)
- Your business must be 51% or more black owned (BBBEE designated)
- Your business goals and reasons for attending should align with the masterclass objectives
