HOW IT WORKS

Once your school adopts the SORTED system and registers an account, you’ll be able to access a powerful online management portal to set-up, collect and track payments.
As a school, you will be able to ‘white-label’ the app to customise the look and feel, reflecting your school’s colours and emblem*.
Parents don’t need to bank with us, they can top-up their digital wallets using any bank account through MasterPass.
Learners can then pay for goodies using the prepaid MasterCard debit card that has been issued to them by Standard Bank and that is linked to the SORTED App.
SORTED provides learners a safe space to become financially aware and comfortable with the digital economy and a cashless society, under the supervision of their parents.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Additional functionality extends the app’s value beyond cashless payments with tools to digitise activities on the school campus via one central platform. These features include modules for chat, events, marketplace and MiMoney.
- The chat feature enables users to interact with others within the app environment. Chat allows for one-to-many and many-to-one chat functionality, perfect to keep in contact with friends, coaches, teachers and more.
- The events feature is a bulletin board that allows users to list, view and pay for events, activities and meet-ups that are happening in their communities and surrounding areas. School administrators can control events, determine whether they are closed (e.g. a school camp) or open events (e.g. a weekend sports day) and invite and track attendees.
- The marketplace is an online retail platform controlled by the school administrators that enables the school, parents and students to list and buy new or used goods within the school environment and make secure payments via the app.
- The MiMoney feature allows a safe and secure way to store your money. You can issue/redeem Instant Money vouchers, buy prepaid airtime, data and electricity. Remember that MiMoney is linked to your Sorted debit card, so you can make purchases at merchants outside the school and track your spending on the app.
