How to get it
 

To open a MyMo Account, you need to:

  • Be 16 years or older
  • Be a South African citizen
  • Have a South African ID*
  • Be living in South Africa
  • Download the app or apply online**

*If you are under 18 years and don’t have an ID, you will need to apply in-branch with your original birth certificate and a certified copy of your parent’s/guardian’s ID.

**You need a South African ID to open the account online. If you are under 18 and have an ID, you can open the account on the Standard Bank App.

Open the account on the Standard Bank App in a few easy steps:

  • Download the app
  • Provide the required details
  • Scan your ID smartcard/book
  • Take a selfie
  • Create your password
  • Now you can start banking
  • You’ll receive an SMS when your gold card is ready for collection at your preferred branch

  • Provide the required details
  • Create your password
  • Get your gold card from your preferred branch (you’ll receive an SMS when its ready for collection)

MyMo Plus standard associated fees
Monthly bundle fee: R110.
Fees on the Banking App are the same as on Internet Banking.
Cash deposit fees are free up to R5 000 and thereafter R9 per R1000.

Cash withdrawal fees
Cash withdrawals are free up to R5 000 at all ATMs limited to two at other banks’ ATMs. Thereafter cash withdrawals are R7.50 per R1000 at Standard Bank ATMs and R12 per R1 000 at other banks’ ATMs.

Payment fees
Debit orders, electronic payments and inter-account transfers are free.
POS Purchase and POS Cashback are free.
E-mail payment confirmations and MyUpdates are free.

Prepaid purchase fees
Prepaid airtime and electricity are free.
